Nolan, Charles

(c. 1950- )
Born in New York and educated at the Fashion Institute of Technology, Nolan apprenticed at Bill Blass and Christian Dior before joining Ellen Tracy in 1990 as chief designer. He left Ellen Tracy in 2001 to help pull the Anne Klein label out of bankruptcy. Nolan left Anne Klein in 2003 and opened his own boutique in the Meatpacking district in New York City, designing and selling an eclectic range of merchandise—from his own women's designer high-end clothing to antique furniture, jewelry, books, and handbags.
